How to quit alcohol????

Hi i have a friend who drinks from morning till night. Never takes a break from taking ALCOHOL. He has suffered many episodes of HEMETEMESIS and many episodes of ASCITES till now but he is not able to understand that one day it can take his life also. I have told him many times to quit but...... What should I do please tell me about your IDEAS. I will be thankful to all. Bye

He needs to be sent to a rehabilitation facitlity. He is too far gone to quit on his own and his body will shut down if he doean't have a drink in 24 hours. So he needs professional care where they will treat him and his system to keep him stable while he gets detoxified. He also needs counselors to talk to while he is going through this. I suggest that you look for available places that he can go to.
