Tender Surrender is great, I can't deny that, but The best one is "the boy from seattle" its a mix of sweet harmony with some blues licks, not to mention the last part of the song when he starts the solo using a delay effect which create a kind of duet, it's simply amazing.
what really impresses me about Steve Vai is your variety of songs, no one can say that Steve Vai is a rock guitar player 'cause in the middle of one song he might change the solo idea going to another style faster than you can imagine.

I was surprised no one mentioned "For the Love of God". Despite its age it's such a deep spiritual song. My favorite version is from the first G3 video. The moment I saw Vai drop to his knees, tears rushed into my eyes as they still do now. I also like the actual video, with Vai playing it on the top of a mountain. He is such a passionate player and everything about him is extreme.

Tender Surrender is my all time favorite song from Steve Vai. This is just a legendary piece of music. Full of emotions, dynamics, and humour. Steve is one of the greatest musicians living today.

Giant Balls of Gold.
As a guitarist, it's very inspirational. As a music listener, love the groove.
