What you need to prepare to become successful in politics?

I have been watching the politicians craving for higher positions with the vision, both to serve and to take advantage of the goverment-the common people living in. Well, my suggestion is, have a lot of money to get a strong political machinery and take care of your credibility. I also believe that to have this, needs more time and proper planning.
