I think Athens is ok for a new visitor. For those who have visited Greece before maybe the islands or Ipirus could be best.

Athens is great ! i would love to visit greece and that is the dream destination of mine to travel there. Though there are many other places that are great in greece specially some coastal areas.

I visited Greece in 1966, and I loved Athens and Crete. One day I hope to return.
