Just curious, how many of you use tampons and how many still stick to the conventional pads? I must say that ever since I started using tampons, I've not gone back to the conventional pads at all. I find that it's easier and more comfortable.

I'm a Tampon Girl and as you say I wouldn't go back... It is much easier and cleaner. You don't even realise you have your period most of the time...

I used to be afraid to use tampons, but because I used to swim a lot, for competition, I was required to use tampons during those times of the month, not just during competitions but also during trainings. Now, I can't imagine myself using the conventional pad anymore. TSS aside, I think it is relatively safe and a whole lot cleaner.

hi! i've been using pads ever since and tried using tampon once when i was in college because me and my friends are laughing about it. im scared because the tampon might get inside of me without me noticing and what if i couldnt get it out? i've read a news in the net that a girl uses tampons and she couldnt get it out she had to go get surgery.

That rarely every happens, just make sure you follow the instructions carefully and buy a dependable product. Personally, I like Johnson and Johnson's OB. Also, tampons are not supposed to stay in for longer than 8 hours. Using tampons can also have bad effects, such as toxic shock syndrome. I can't believe I'm having a discussion about tampons.

oh, it does have such side effects? scary! but well, you're right. if you are hygienic (ofcourse, we should change from time to time), you won't get that side effect, right?

Toxic Shock Syndrome has nothing to do with being hygenic. Besides, tampons aren't hygenic to begin with, you're keeping something that your body is trying to get rid of inside of you. That's why there's a toxic shock syndrome warning with every tampon box. It's very serious and will put you in the hospital.

i have never used tampoons. most women here in the philippines are used to having the conventional pads. even in the department stores, there are not so many tampoons sold. i am comfortable with my pads since i had been using it for 15 years already. and i am used to it.

Havent tried tampoons. I saw how J&J OB looks like, i thought its small, i dont know if it would ever support a period like mine.. i'm like always having "heavy" days. I dont even use the regular pads except on last day. Its always the night pad or maternity hahahah

Hello Hopefoo! I also like the tampons, when i'm in public! There are days when the flow is bigger and then i use a tampon and a pad to be more secure. When i'm at home, even so, i choose the pads.
