Now I admit that I have a cell phone. I use it whenever it is necessary since I do not have another phone line or land line in my apartment. But do you think they are a terrible addiction?
I cannot walk down the street without seeing 2 people together talking to 'other' people on their phone. I feel like it is completely unnecessary to take a phone call when you have a perfectly good physical human standing right next to you. Do you feel you are addicted to your cell phone?
Here is another scenario that i see frequently. I work in a restaurant and customers place their order at the counter then proceed to the register to pay. A customer comes into the restaurant and is gabbing away on teh phone, is it wrong that I don't wait on them until they get off the phone?

You are absolutely right not to wait for someone to get off their phone when they are holding up the line and being rude. I love when people that cannot walk and chew gum at the same time, try driving and texting at the same time. Or when I'm at a store and some goof is yelling at someone on his/her cell phone disturbing everyone around. This has definitely become a terrible addiction. Soon we will need a cell phone abuser rehab facility in every part of the world.

I seriously hate when people are in the store yelling into their phone. Even around town here everyone is a college student and I get on a quiet bus where there is always ONE person sharing their whole life with the bus. Sometimes their phone volume is so loud i can hear the other half of the conversation as well!
