Our nick (pseudo). What and why?

Surfing on myLot I can see a lot of nicks (pseudos). Some are very nice, other very funny, other really interesting.... Why did you choose your nick and what does it mean?
"FrancyDafne" includes two names:
Francy is short for Francesco
Dafne is the Nymph that Apollo tried to catch.
In this way I've linked a male and a female name who represent the male and the female part of me.

I ever User HeavensMetal.. more 4 yrs... cuz in past I think in name of My future band, and Slogan for anything... As I like Metal... and ever Christian Metal.. I create de Heaven'sMetal (mean Heavy Metal Christian)...
But now.. ever people call me only Heaven in many places.. O.o

Hi HeavensMetal.
When I was young like you I listened Heavy Metal. I'm speaking about many years ago, something like the Jurassic period of Metal: the first records by ACDC, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Saxon, Scorpions.... how many years passed.... in truth I listened punk music, but I had a lot of Heavy Metal friends, and so, from time to time I listened Heavy Metal too.... The good old times....

Well, I love Hard Core, but I know only the Hard Core band of tens of years ago. I don't know today Hard Core bands.

for me too... scorpions rlz.. today I hear more Hard COre.. Metal COre.. Eletro-Rock... but.. I continue using "Heaven'sMetal"... =P

My nick, as you can see is yellowhipon.
yellow being my favorite color and hipon (hee-pon) is the Filipino term for shrimp. I love shrimps a lot, ironically, I'm allergic. So thats why I'm using it as my nick.:)

Well, I know I see a lot of interesting nicks on here as well, and have sometimes wondered the same thing on here. It does become quite interesting, and I know many of us come up with a lot of different names. My is KrauseHome. Krause is my last name, and I feel at home with this name, and so I chose to use this name online as well.

"darckj"-- darc, is the first four letters in my name.. my friends pronounce it as 'dars', changing the 'c' to 's'.. but i find it more cool if it sounds 'dark'.. so i added a letter 'k' to it.. the 'j' came from the first letter of the name of the kid in my profile pic [as of this time].. he is julijo pisk, jr..

Hi! I go by the name angel as a nickname or as a pen name when I uses to write stories and poems a lot when I was yonger. I was about 15 when I started it. And I'm 33 now, so quite a while now. It starte with a poem I wrote about an angel with a broken wing always hurt but trying to get better but failing more often thatn not. Someone hurt the good angel and hurt her bad making it very hard to fly to heaven. So it's a very personal and precious name to me because the poem is about me in a figuative sense. I was going to wirte this under your "magical names" because it's close to the heart and has meaning to me. But I didn't it quite fit but it's magical to me.

I never used a nick name ...I always use my real name :Aidonia ,maybe because is so unique and I know I'll not see anyone else using or maybe because I really like my name.It was nice to see you know about the Greek Mythology....but after all are you male or female ,I don't see it at your profile.(answer only if you want ofcourse).
