How do I get a girlfriend?

I need you people to help me out or suggest me something regarding this matter. I am 24 and tired of living single without any female in life. I donno how to make a girlfriend. I am pretty good at mingling with people, have good attitude and taste towards life and everything. Still nothing happened as of now. I even see pretty girls roaming with worthless fellows. That makes me think that either girls have no brains or no taste. I also come across girls who look very pretty, but all the charm goes off when they start talking. I don't know any girl around me and can't really think of approaching girls at streets as a stranger. This internet and orkut stuff also never worked for me. I really don't have the patience to dedicatedly look for a girl and stand the kind of attitude they have. I also hate talking on the phone for hours! someone suggest me something!!

"The more you are looking, it will never find your way". . . . Enjoy life! Don't sulk in it, don't pity yourself for not having one. . . LOVE will strike you unexpectedly. Just be patient. For the meantime, enjoy being single and socializing with your friends. . . And don't be such a choosy when it comes to girls. You also have to love talking on the phone for hours if you like courting a girl, that's part of it man. . and oh by the way, "you cannot make a girlfriend, haha!" .. Make an effort first on your part before you can actually have one you know.

thanx for the response. No, I am not thinking all the day for it at all. I was just wondering if there's any easy way out coz all the ways appear complex to me. Yes, even I do agree that it should happen by itself and it should not be forced to happen..keeping that in mind I have already spent 24 years..wonder how much more to go? LOL..
