The best book i ever read was in highschool, a book my best friend lend me... i don't remember the exact name, but it was a set of three in one, called dark visions!! By L.J. Smith, i've always wanted to get another copy, but haven't been able to find it!!
The bible is pretty good.

The best book I've ever read is THE DOLLMAKER by Harriet Arnow. About twenty years ago, Jane Fonda optioned this book and made a TV movie of it. She played the lead character. It is about a woman named Gertie and her family from the Appalachain Mountains who move to Detroit so her husband can work in a car factory. I reread this book every few years.

I agree with you. The bible is the very best book ever to be written. I have read the new and old test. a few times. Each time, I read something different.

It is very difficult to name the best book for me, there are many (the bible is not one of them).
I would list
1984, Dune, Lord of The Rings, Animal Farm, God Delusion.
Just to name a few. And I am leaving out people worth mentioning, like Dante, Asimov, Shakespeare, the list is big.

of course the bible is the best ever, u got all genre in there action, heavy drama, horror and even love stories. but i havent read it cover to cover. i wonder how people can read lots of books yet can even read a verse or chapter of the bible everyday?
well anyways, back to ur question, the first book i really like was The Firm by John Grisham. i was 15 that time i guess and from the time i started reading the first page i cant put it down. it was so captivating, gripping with suspense and action. so i guess it was the best book book me.
