Ever liked the food on an airline you have flew? What did you have and which airline was this? What class of service did you have? I have flewn at least 8 times internationally and have never encountered good or even decent food... was happy to hear one of the airlines was serving McDonal's LOL.

The only thing I think I was served on a plane was a drink and some peanuts and pretzels. I wish they would serve McDonalds though, yummy. I bet they would make some good money and especially they may get some tips.

I am one of those strange people who likes aeroplane food. Maybe it's the meat that is the problem for others? I am vegetarian, so don't have to deal with that. I've had my share of bad aeroplane meals, but I've also had bad restaurant meals. In general, I quite like eating on 'planes.

Having lived in or travelled to 57 countries, yes we have some experience of airline food.
Generic Airline Food:
Generally cooked in vast quantities, chilled, reheated and served. Generally poor.
Particularly terrible ones in our experience are: United Airlines, American, Northwest, Lufthansa, Aeroflot, Sabena, LOT, Qantas, British Airways
Particularly good food in the generic class are: Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways, Emirates, Varig,
Over the years we have learned that it is best to plan ahead and request for special meals. These are generally cooked in individual portions and we have had very many delicious meals on board planes. We often ask for:
1. Kosher meals (Jewish style meals - work very well on European and American airlines)
2. Indian Vegetarian meals. Most airlines have arrangements with specialty restruarants in various countries and the quality of food served is amazing.
3. Vegan meals.
4. Italian vegetarian meals (If we ask for Italian meals we never get them, so we learned to ask for Italian vegetarian and invariably they provide excellent meals)
5. Muslim Halal food.
With a little bit of planning you can get really fantastic food and the airlines want to serve you well regardless of whether you fly economy, business or first. Obviously they spend more for the "upper classes".

All my airplane ride was for short time only, it only takes around 30-40 minutes. So i am not expecting lunch or dinner. Snacks are the only food they serve. A couple of sandwich or chips and some fruit juice. For me it is ok for short time travels

I've never been on a plane long enough for them to need to serve a full meal. I've had peanuts and plane shaped cheese its, though. Can't complain there, they were good. As were the beverages. I'm hoping to be traveling more, though, and then I'll have to really see what airline food is all about.

I thought the food they served me was always missing something. Maybe it's because my parents don't get me the special kid's meal. I also wonder if first class serves better food than coach. Anways I never really liked the food they served though the airplane attendants were very nice.

Local flights just serve you a little pack of peanuts or pretzel and a cup of drink. International flights, they give you meals..which is quite ok for me, nothing to brag about but at least they serve it ontime.

I only fly once, but it was long trip and 4 transits meaning I had a taste of 4 airplanes dishes LOL Malaysian Airline and China Airline are OK. The food was a little too spicy but I didn't really read the descriptions anyway, just ordered out of curiosity. Air Canada wasn't that bad either, but it was freezing inside and for 5 hrs I felt like sitting on ice cube LOL I was skinny little girl then..
My husband was frequent traveller before we got married. Now we only travel within the province, and save money for trips abroad in the future.

i've been flying with Philippine Airlines for years now and i can say that i really like and enjoy their food... most of the time, i'm in the Economy class and they would usually have 2 choices - rice or noodles which comes with either beef, pork, fish or chicken... it also comes with a bread, salad and dessert...
