i dont use the same username in other sites. but i think some use the one username for other sites so that they wont have to remember many usernames. how about you, do you have a separate username for every site you are a member of?

I use the same name here as myspace, but have different name for the writing sites that I belong too. It does make it easier, also the sites have similarities and am trying to refer people over from myspace to here. So it kinda works to my advantage. The other sites I like to remain anonymous so I use another name there. Good luck to you at mylot!

I think I would if there were any that I cared to join . That way if there were Mylotians on the other site we would know eachother.

I actually have 3 usernames, but this is the most that I use because it is more easy for me to type than the other two. I also use the same password so I won't have any problem memorizing it, I sometimes has the tendency to forget some of them. I have all my three usernames for my Yahoo Messenger..

I use this username in several other sites, plus I have 2 other screen names that I use. For me, it's definitely a matter of only having a small number of user identities in order to remember them. Any more than what I have would make me a basket case trying to sign in.

I tend to try to keep the same username, however, I do wish I had chosen another name to use here in mylot.

I pretty much have 3 main usernames that I use - unless they are taken for some reason. They are easy for me to remember because they are linked in a way to my email name as well or my real name. The name I have here on MyLot is not one that I use on any other sites, but it is my email and I use it for MySpace too.

No worries and you do not have to explain to me - I didn't know there were any other discussions on this. :) If people reply, great - if they don't, don't worry about it. Peace!

Yes, I use Neo_Knights nickname everywhere, except my email address. But some sites does not allowed to use punctuation marks, so I have neoknights nickname too. It help me remember my account easier.

Mostly I do. I Know it sounds easier to have only one and use it on all accounts but it's safer not to. Plus I have quite a few usernames that I like and this way I have the opportunity to use them all :)

I used different usernames for each sites I joined. To avoid confusion, all my usernames are related to my bunny. I make sure to list down everything in a notebook. I'm old now...don't have that much memory! :)

As much as possible I use the same username so its easier to remember. If by chance somebody else beat me to my regular username, I have a couple of alternatives that I use. Its wise to use different passwords though for security reasons.

I have 3 usernames and i use them in different sites,i don't prefer single username because it would be scammy for me,of course i want to keep my stuffs.Sometimes there are users here in my PC so i have to be careful of my usernames,it's for my protection.

I pretty much use the same username on this type of site because it is easy to remember. As for more secure sites such as shopping and banking, I always mix it up for security. I have a program called AccessManager that will store my user names and passwords, and I update it and print a copy to keep in a plastic page protector at my desk for reference. I know that it's not the best thing to have a hard copy of passwords around, but I live alone and no one has access to it, unless you count my boyfriend who doesn't even know where the list is and he can barely even turn on the computer!

It depends. I try too because if I do, it's easier to keep track of everything. I can easily remember my username without too much thought. I hate having to retrieve my username or password so I stick to what I know mostly.

I use the same name because it makes it easier, or at least thats what I think. I have enough passwords that aI ahve to remember that I really don't want to add more. I never use the same password, for fear that somebody can tap into all my other stuff, and I don't write any of it down for that same reason.

I typically have set of usernames that I'll choose from. I do this because if one is taken I already have a second or third choice ready to go and because friends who might want to try to find me at other places will have an easier time of it.
