Today, Brian Lara, one of the greatest batsmen in World Cricket, played his last ODI on Indian soil. He scored 3 runs off 2 balls before getting run out in the most unfortunate manner without any fault of his. He has entertained us for many years and it was sad to see him score just 3 runs. It would have been great to see Lara scoring a century but India winning. Lara said he might play Test Cricket in India in future. He was awarded Rs. 200000 by the Baroda Cricket Association.

I had the pleasure of watching Lara get that whopping big record score, admittedly it was only on TV but what a brilliant batsman he was ... and what a shame to have your very last game spoiled by being run out .. that's not really the way any cricketer would want his last game to be ...
I am sure he will be sadly missed in the cricket world .. he was a fine batsman and a gentleman ..

Dude!! You are talking as if he's retired from World Cricket. Its just that it was his last game in India.

Quite right Lara has not yet retired he has only played his last ODI in India. But we can still see plenty of him hopefully in the upcoming world cup in windies and in future in test series and hopefully see him play well in tests in India that would be nice.
