hi,i segregate the characters and behaviour suits to me from all the friends and i show more interest in spending time with him in exchanging views etc...thats i develop closeness.

i dont think you can select best friend by her or him being in your side in need.

A best friend should be someone that's always there for you. Through the thick and thin. No matter what happens, they are there to stand by you and not run away. Someone you can trust with all your secrets, and be respectful towards you and your feelings. Someone who you can talk to, and understands you, without down grading your every move.
