Hubby and I have been talking about visiting Amsterdam this year, but not sure when, hence the question. Is there a better time to come? Weather, crowds, things to see and do?

It's really up to you when you choose to come to Amsterdam for a vacation.
Its a lovely city with plenty to see and do and definitely an experience not to be missed... Trust me, once you go, you'll want to keep coming back time and time again!!
The winters are cold and usually wet, but Amsterdam can be a very crowded city at the best of times and if you dont want crowd - this is the best time to go - There will still be alot of people on the streets, but most of them work there and you will find that the bar, and other attractions are reasonabley uncrowded.
The summer in Amsterdam is quite like a British Summer (raining one min sunny the next). This is the time when you will lots of people coming to the city.. the attraction can be very crowded and you have to leave your hotel extremely early if you want to beat the ques
If you are intersted in the coffeeshops of Amsterdam then the best time of the year to go would be November (for the Cannabis Cup) - I t is held every year and this is the best time to get to meet the growers, get second to none info on everything you need to know
I f you like the Red Light District - This is just my oppinion - but go in summer as the people who work the Windows are much more attrative in summer - lol!!! Again just my oppinion!!!!
I hope this reply is of use to you and if you havent been already - Have a safe enjoyable time in our Lovely City!!!!
