In Chinese they say "Wei ni hao" means Hello, "Ni hao ma" means How are you? In Japanese they say "Konichiwa" means Hello and Good afternoon, "O genki desuka?" means How are you?

Well, I am from Canada, so I say Hello. To my friends it may be Hey!, hiya, or whassup? lol. Depending on the friend...but for others that I don't know it is definitely hello.
