Ok, with all the post about past idols, here are the winners and top 5 from all seasons. I want to know if you think the right one one, or if it should have been one of the others.Tell me what you think!!

This is a nice discussion. I didn't watch much of season 1 but I would have still picked Kelly Clarkson. Season 2 Ruben - he's awesome just wish we would hear from him!! Season 3 Diana DeGarmo!!! I cannot stand Fantasia (sorry Fantasia fans!). Season 4 Carrie Underwood all the way - she's my favorite singer - I have her song Jesus Take the Wheel as my ringtone on my cell. Season 5 should have been Chris Daughtry with Katherine McPhee as a close second. I never did like Taylor.

I alomost agree with you 100%. Season 2, yes i liked Ruben alot, but Josh was my #1 pick. I am so glad he went somewhere!! But the rest, im with you all the way. Thanks for your responce!!!

I beleve that Diana DeGarmo should have one. I do not like Fantasia. I hated her version of summertime. I believe that Chris Daughtry should have won. I don't think Katherine should have been in second place. By the way, when they talk about the success of American Idol, why isn't Diana DeGarmo not mentioned? She is a success in my book. Is it because Simon didn't like her?

Yes, Fantasia was a "pusher". She could never do anything without yelling into the mic.

I really like this discussion! I didn't start watching the 1st season until it was half way through but I really liked Tamyra Gray and thought she should've won. Kelly Clarkson is a good singer though so I think that decision was ok. For the second season I really like Clay Aiken. Third season I think that eitehr Latoya or Diana should've won. They both have amazing voices. I totally agree with the 4th season... I love Carrie Underwood!! Last season was a disappointment for me though. I think that Chris should've totally won! I don't get how Katherine got into the finals when he didn't.. o well he has a career now so I guess I shouldn't complain. =)

Thank you for your reply. It is nice to see so many diferent ideas on this. I know myself, i have watched since day one, and i hate it when one of your favorites leave. Like season 2, i was voting for Josh the entire time. I hated to see him go. And last year was just as bad with Chirs. I am soooo glad to see them both doing so well. We will have to all talk again after this season is over.

I agreed on the winner of each season except last season. Chris should have won. He was the greatest and he could put his own flavor to each song. At least he released a succeful album and I think he would do better then Katherine and Taylor

I did not watch season 1. I got hooked on season 2. I think Clay should have won that one. But hey look at his career now. He is doing great. In season 3 Fantasia deserved that one. Season 4 Bo and 5 Taylor had it all the way.

Well, I missed quite a few seasons, but I do have some thoughts on this. Personally, I think that a lot of who you would want to win depends on what kind of music you like. For example, in the case of last season, though I did like Chris and was shocked when he was voted off, his type of music is not my favorite, so I probably would not have voted him the winner. I do like Taylor's music and his love of performing, and was glad that he won. But my real favorite from last year was Elliott Yamin. I think that his style is an acquired taste, though, and not in keeping with the tastes of many of the Idol watchers, so he didn't get as many votes. I also think that maybe his appearance threw many people off. But I've just listened to his new album and I love it, much more than I like the albums by Chris, Taylor, and Katherine.
