Other than mylot, what are your plans for today?

I find that, as I get older, I need to make myself lists so that I don't forget the things that I have planned to do for the day. Sometimes I will have post-its all over my computer desk with short lists on them, each with varying degrees of priority.
So, in order to streamline things, I thought I'd post my list here. That way, it will pop up when I'm on mylot and that will remind me to get things done. Feel free to do the same.
Plans for today:
Organize pets' medical records
Complete transportation forms for my son's school
Type up forms for hubby to use at work
Get son's hair cut
Go to wal-mart for soda and soymilk
Give 2 of the kitties their medicines
Watch American Idol
I've left out the normal chores, like make dinner, etc. I generally don't need a list to remember those.

Every day when I get to work- I make a to-do list.. Usually I have a "things I must accomplish" list for the week too. I check them off as I get them done. Towards the end of my work day I will jot down a few things that I know I have to do that night at home. I'm now in the practice of calling home and leaving a message-- I just did this today at lunch- DOn't forget to have your windshield wipers looked at-
I think as we get older and busier to do lists are great! Now if I could get people to quit bugging me at work or get off MyLot and get them done- : )

I always have a 'things to do today' list each morning, at the end of the day I try and make sure that everything is crossed off and I have achieved something. I go to the gym every day which is a great achievement and it gets me out and gives me good exercise. I divide my day up into housework, gym, Mylot, computer work, tv, reading and eating.

Well, it´s 11.15 pm here in Spain and the only thing I will still do before going to bed is make a few more comments here, do my nightly yoga session and then read for a while in bed. These are my plans for tonight. I do make a list for daytime though, once written down, I don´t forget anymore.

Will get ready in the next hour to go to work until 9:00 pm. I will then come home and go online again. Prior to this I was just surfing and relaxing on the couch with a cup of coffee. It's snowing and blowing today and don't want to go out until I absolutely have to.

It is a good idea to make a what to do list. But I never do that and that's why sometime I forget to do some not very important but need to be done thing. My huby always remind me to do a list when I forgt something. But I don't know why I just can't build this habit.

Sweetlady,
To start the habit of making a list, leave paper and pencil out on the counter so ij the morning when having coffee, you can jot things down!!

I'm the exact same way with all of my little post-its and lists on my legal pad. If I don't write it down, I totally forget. I especially like making lists of what I plan on cooking for dinner for the whole week, because when I finally get home from work, I'm too exhausted to think about what to make. If I have my list, I can just look at it and start preparing whatever is on the menu.
It's too late for the things I did today, but things to do tomorrow:
Start web page design project for work
Finish processing reimbursements
Remember to eat lunch
Pick up fire starter thing for stove
Gym after work! Cardio and weights!
Dinner: Salmon with maple-mustard sauce and brown rice

Can I come over for dinner? Or could you send me the recipe for the salmon, please? :)

Sure, always room for one more! ;)
The recipe is really simple. I just mix dijon mustard and maple syrup together (with just a bit of lemon juice) until it tastes right to me. Then I coat the fish filets with sauce (I got a bunch of frozen wild salmon filets at the grocer when they were on sale for a dollar each, so I defrost the filets in the fridge during the day) and let marinate for about 15-20 minutes. Then I wrap the fish in tin foil (with some marinade) and bake in a glass dish in the oven for about 20 minutes at 425ish degrees. It's really simple!

I forgot to say this about cooking the fish:
The cooking time may be different depending on the thickness of the fish and your oven temperature. You just want to cook it until the middle is done and the fish flakes easily with a fork. If you have a grill (I have a mini George Foreman that I just adore!) you can also grill the salmon instead of baking.
Cheers!

Oh you sound like me. I make to-do lists all the time. My hubby laughs at me but at least I'll remember it if I write it down. I don't have anything special to do today besides watching the kids I take care of so I didn't make a list today.

I do agree with writing down what you have to do for the day, especially when we are getting older. I only have to write down my shopping for today as it is not my normal shopping day but this is just to get us through the weekend and until payday that way I will not spend more than I should. I normally do not have to much to do everyday thank goodness and I do remember thank goodness, as for my plans for today when I have finished here for this morning I have to go shopping and pay our rent to our real estate, and when I come home I shall have my lunch and then come back online.

No one is allowed to remove anything from my desk for that very reason. I'm very organized, the rest of the family...not so much.

Today I am headed off to Seaworld with my husband.
We have annual passes so it doesn't cost us much to go there and we bag our lunch so we don't have to pay the outrageous prices inside the park.
It is a great way to get excercise, be outdoors, and to spend quality time with my husband.
He loves the sealions and I love the dolphins.

I have graduated from making lists to, are you ready, a weekly calendar!! The pages open for an entire week, and I jot down when I want to clean floors, bathrooms and then on one side of each day, I jot down any phone calls I need to make.
I can then plan something ahead and seems once I write it down, I can let it go....
Great topic blueskies!!!
