What do you do when you get a response like this?

You should go ahead and rate as negative. I generally rate those type of response with a negative mark. I cam remeber i got such type of response very few one or two at max. but it is very bad to see those type of response. mylot also do a context check of the response. if the response is no way related to the discussion topic, they won't pay for that. so this is not only the thing you have to do, mylot also award them. I do rate those reponse negative where i saw they just copy paste a huge lines of text from any other website. I got that typr of responses very frequently. people who has post over 500 they can copy paste the context. sometime they just take that opportunity to paste the full text from other site.

You sigh and rate it a negative. I've had some one tell me their favorite "soup" was Lifeboy. Go figure.

Yes, I've seen some weird responses to other people's discussions. If I get one I just give them a -ve and reply that their response was totally inappropriate or whatever. ;)

Yes I do, I think we all get these. I just rate them a negative, then report them for posting trash for points. I don't know what Mylot does with them, but hopefully they don't give them a point, for it. Could you imagine if we all just posted trash like this, how fast Mylot would sink? It's sad there is always an idiot in every group. :-(

What happened there was someone had two windows open, each with a different discussion. They posted the wrong response into your discussion. But, I'd still rate it negative because they should have been more careful and paying attention to the discussion.

i would do if i just didn"t see it. i am not going to answer on that. stop being sick of it! that is not good for you

I have started many discussions and gotten answers that were way off the topic being discussed or just one word..and it always comes to my mind- What are you thinking? I try to go back through and read each answer and rate them. If it is off topic and looks copy/pasted they get a "-" and sometimes depending on what they say I report is as abuse. But you are right this is a public forum and they do have freedom of speech here but by the mylot law I don't have to tolerate it..I can report it!

i think mylot moderator will not accept the response with no relation with the topic you post,probably he/she forget just paste the copied without reading again and submit the discussion,apologize him/her.

I have noticed responses like this, and when I checked the person's profile and the topics that they have responded to, all of their responses were the same. I guess, they cannot speak English, and they are posting these responses in order to obtain points. I think they deserve a negative rating, as they are not contributing to the discussions.

There are some funny people around! I had a couple of replies where they just copied my topic as an answer??

I try to rephrase the question to them , then I will go back and see if they responed again and if not then they get a - I had one today ,my disscusion is on sugar bags and repackageing them ,and the response was" hey h r u " I have no clue ...lol so I will see what happens with that one ,I rephrased the question to them ...

i have got quite a few responses like these.man i do wonder if these guys are drunk.maybe they read a discussion and instead of replying and posting it in that discussion they do in the next.well the best option upto me is to just ignore the reponse.i do not rate the response since i assume the reply would have been done unintentionally.so my advice would be to simply ignore them buddy.

There is always a clown that will not give you the response that you want, but the response that will get them some money. They make up a crazy sentence that could seem like they're just trying to be funny, and copy and paste a response to earn more. It's that simple. Just ignore it. It doesn't hurt you any, and ignoring idiots is an easy thing to do.. you just do it.

Its pretty sad when people get so comsumed with making .02 that they just blurt out random things. I guess the best thing to do is rate it negative and just wait for everything else to sort itself out.

Wow that is really crazy. I have had some bizzare one but not like that, I just give a negative rating and sometimes I tell them I going to report them. Hang it there.

We should rate this type of user as negative, and mylot administration should start to send an alert in the message box of this type of users as reminder. After 3 or 4 reminders these users would be automatically restricted and their id will be deleted from the mylot forum. They may add from new id but will start from 0 earning. It will be rite punishment for them. If it is possible than mylot administration should apply it here.

Haha ok that is too funny . I was going to say maybe they misunderstood what you were talking about but there is not way that they could get a dog from that . I haven't seen any like that yet but I think I would have to give it a negative as they were not anywhere near what you were looking for . It can be an honest mistake to misunderstand someone but in a case such as that , you would have to wonder what they were trying to answer to .

I think you better give it a negative rating. But after that, just dont let it get into your nerves that much.. just ignore people who responds like that. They will eventually get their fair share.. :)

Perhaps it was left for you by mistake but I too ahve gotten wiered resonses like that, I just ignore them.

Those are the people who just want to get their response numbers up. They will just respond to anyone with jibberish. I tend to give them negative rating because they do bring the entire site down. Those of us here who take the time to read the discussions and give quality responses deserve better compensation than those people. If they have over 500 responses they are probably just going from discussion to discussion pasting the same comment over and over. Just try to either ignore it or give them negative rating and be sure to not accidently give any of them a best response!
