I've gone four times and by the second time I could already make it down the hill without falling, and off the lift without falling and hitting anyone. My boyfriend said I was learning crazy fast, which is awesome but how long did it take you all to learn?

I have larned after 4 days of riding with the instructor. he showed all the proper ways of riding so I won't get hurt. It's a lot of fun and I love it

I have just come back from NZ and I was still crashing after nearly 10 years on snowboards. Crashing just means you are pushing your own limits. Go for it!! You might find it takes only a few days, especially if you skate as well.

You sound about normal for learning time. He might just be saying that to make you feel good. :)

It's been a while since I first learned to snowboard, but I think that it took me a few years (I only go 1-3 times a year) before I got REALLY comfortable, but I think I learned at about the same rate as you initially. My good friend, who is extremely athletic and learns any athletic thing quickly, learned to link turns within a day!
