I prefer a soft mattress or at least a foam cover on the mattress. I can not sleep well if I feel like I have slept on a slab of concrete. Some people have the hardest mattresses I have ever seen. And they like them that way. How about you, a hard mattress or a soft one?

It's a hard mattress for me. Soft mattresses kill my back something terrible.

My husband and I have a Select Comfort Sleep Number mattress and we absolutely love it! I like a softer mattress (my sleep number is usually around 25-40) and he likes a real hard mattress and sometimes sets his mattress at 100! I can't imagine ever sleeping in a bed that hard! It's also a great bed to have when you're pregnant because you can go up and down to whatever is the most comfortable for you!

I like the soft ones. I can't stand laying on a hard mattress cause it makes my neck hurt when I wake up. I would rather "sink" down into the bed when I lay down.

I have to have medium to hard. When I was travelling a lot with my ex husband and we had to almost stay almost every night in hotels so when we traveled we had a piece of plywood strapped to the luggage rack in the car. I could not sleep in a soft mattress. We had some very curious looks walking into a real nice hotel lugging the 5 foot long piece of wood!!

I prefer soft, I want to be cuddled by my mattress, I don't want to be tossing and turning due to pressure spots.

Its always preferred to be soft mattresses in any case even if u want to sit on for an hour also one could not choose to sit on for a cushionless chair or iron chairs.
Because they'll make rude of ur mind, and rather it will destruct the mood, after times passes.

I like a soft mattress but a thick pillow. I cannot sleep on a hard mattress. It hurts my back and I am so stiff when I wake up. My husband can sleep on anything. LOL

Up until very recently I have slept on a waterbed (yes a waterbed, call me outdated, lol) for the past 13 years. I had found my back was starting to give me problems and I attributed it to the bed. We purchased a pillowtop mattress and I have to say I love it. It is so soft and comfortable, yet it's very supportive at the same time. I'm happy to say my backaches left with the waterbed...or they're up in the attic with the bladder, lol.

Rock hard futon all the way, baby! Sometimes when I go to hotels, I have to pull all the covers off and sleep on the floor because the bed is too soft!

our bed has a 4 inches foam cover, i like it so much, while in mattress there are hard springs that hurt my back, that is why i chose foam instead,
springs might hurt you especially when the mattress is old,and beginning to rot.LOL
i change them to foam.
good day

I'm like you. I prefer a soft mattress. My back handles it so much better. I've been on some that do feel like you are sleeping on a slab of concrete and it kills my back and hips. I end up in a lot of pain from them. I don't know how some can sleep on them. I'm sure they feel the same way about soft mattresses. Just shows that you can't please everyone.

Yes I know some people who have hard mattresses and they like that, and some people who have hard mattresses and don't like it. I don't understand how anyone could like that. But I've been told by a lot of people that I have the softest mattress they have ever felt. Whenever I stay in a hotel I hate the mattresses, maybe because they seem really hard compared to mine. But yes, I don't know how people could enjoy those.

Yeah,I too love sleeping on soft mattresses, lol.I know that the hard ones are good for our back and spine ,but I just love the soft ones.It feels so good to lie down of them when you are so tired. It seems like someone is hugging you tightly so you can sleep without worrying and with a smile, lol.
