Do you only make one size of albums or do you venture out. I have made albums that are 4x4 pocket books, 6x6 mini books, paperbag books and of course 12x12. I am love working with all different sizes and shapes, currently I am starting a board book for my daughter.

I do only make 12x12 albums . This is what I started with as I figured I would be able to add more to my page . I did go out and buy a smaller one to start for one of my girls as it was winnie the pooh and I love pooh bear and thought it would make a cute album for a little girl but haven't touched it yet .

You might find that the smaller albums are easier and a little more fun. One thing I have done with the smaller albums is you can sketch a complete layout on a standard piece of paper. The also accomodate the standard size of photos a better I think.

I am currently working on my first smaller book, an 8x8, and I have found that it's definitely faster, and seems to be more detail-oriented. It is a lot different than the 12x12, which I often found harder to fill the space, especially if I just have two pictures for one giant page!

That is why I like the smaller albums they really work good for the standard sized pictures.

I think the 8x8's are close to the same price, but 6x6's are for sure cheaper because you get four sheets out of one piece. Using pictures that are that big you might enjoy some of the layouts at wwww.mytlcusa.com most of the gals there use really big pictures. I have done some with large photos but not to many, I like to use around 5x7 or smaller.

I have found an incredible price on the 12x12 books, if anyone is interested! Ross stores sell these books for $7-$10! Though the selection is limited, they do have some nice books for half the price you'll find them elsewhere.

I have done may different sizes but for others , I would have to say 12x12 is my favorite because I can use a lot of photos and I like to do all kind of things with the space.

I like to use different sizes for different purposes.
For my general albums I like the 12 x 12 because I can fit so much in and they are really versatile. FOr my faithbook albums, I like to use 7 x 7's. I also use small ones as gifts to people.
Different size albums for different purposes.

I first started out in 8.5x11 also. I think it is fun to go back and look them over. I have come so far in my scrapbooking and so have the supplies.

I can honestly say I have never seen a 6x12. Do you have any websites that show one? This would be something new to do, it would store on the shelf better and would make an interesting table book of sorts.

I'v only done 12 by 12 pages because I can't figure out how to fit everything I want on anything smaller, but I'd love to make a smaller size scrapbook. It would be a lot faster! I like to give them as gifts and certain people would much prefer a smaller scarpbook over a huge one.

You should check out this website she makes page maps for all sizes, I use them all the time to get started on my books. www.pagemaps.com
She also does card maps which are really cool.
Good Luck!!

May main albums are all 12 x 12, but I do like to venture out. I have some 8 1/2 x 11, and two 7x7. My mom just did a landscape 10x12 album which I like, so I may try that soon. I do like 12 x 12 for the amount of space I have to work with.

I've invested on 12x12 materials so I guess I'll be doing more 12x12 layouts. Though I wanna try making mini albums too, as according to some scrapbooking friends, they're quite fun to do. I'll also be starting on my son's 8x8 baptismal album very soon.

I am 100% 12x12 books. I'm still a little too scared to venture out of the box.

I love the accordian albums also. I have been thinking about purchasing some from the OT. They have 8x8 tag board albums that come with a box. For around $6. They also have accordian alubms that are shaped like hearts that are cute.

I have made all kinds of sizes but my favorite is 12x12 because of the space to put pictures. I have made a great pet scrapbook that is a very unconventional size and I do love that one.

Most of the books that I have for myself are 12x12. I have done the 8 1/2X11 for other people, but I like to include so many pictures that I need the extra space. I have a 4x4 album of each of my babies as they are easy to throw in my purse and show off. Ironically enough - one of my favourite albums is of my wedding which I did before I realized all the materials available and used wedding cards, tags, napkins, invitations etc.

I love traditional albums for things like weddings where you include all the pieces from the day.
I have pocket books they are accordian albums that I love to carry around in my purse. They are so much cuter than the standard wallet picture.

I do mostly 12x12 albums. I have so many pictures, that that's the only way I'd ever be able to finish them all! LoL. I do however do 8x8 albums! I have three right now, 2 of my 2 nephews, and one for my pregnancy!

I love pregnancy albums! I have convinced so many people to do one. My daughters favorite pictures are the ones where I am preg. with her.
