A lot of people are saying that they are "depressed" when they are really not. Being depressed is a real medical condition. Are you really depressed or just sad? People just want attention sometimes. They want someone to feel bad for them. I can't stand that. Stop saying your depressed and that you need help, it's just annoying if you are not really depressed.

I was actually diagnosed as being depressed. 2 1/2 years ago to this month actually, my best friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It really took a toll on me. My emotions were uncontrollable. I cried all the time. My doctor put me on Lexapro. About 5 months ago, I decided that it was time to ween myself off them. It took 3 months to stop them completely. Now I can actually say that I am not depressed. I get upset, sad, moody, and even cry. But, I am no longer depressed.

I think i am not depressed. But my friend is saying that i am depressed.Actually during my early days i have been habitted to think about anything. And that is why people think that. But in my opinion a person is not said to be depressed untill he think so.And one thing i have to say to depressed peoples that dont be depress. If any time you have that then think that you are not the only one so try to get solution from your most believed friend or near.Actually i think we can not go in the solution of depression by thinking with fear.So lastly BE BRAVE.If i am wrong then please correct me.So that next time i will think over that.

Life is about being brave, I agree here. Many depressed people, if they looked closely at their issues, would find that their is conflict between what they are doing and what they really really want to be doing. And a fear of not being able to change circumstances. Such frustration in not feeling they are anywhere near a descent life. Huge frustration in feeling suppressed, hopeless. It's a big I CAN'T.
There is a real element of defeat in people with depression. And usually people who get through it become stronger than the average bear cause they've overcome allot of inhibitions in their struggle to get rid of the demons that keep saying NO NO NO.
So it is about being BRAVE. Life is about being brave and going for what you want and need.

I think too that a lot of people use this word wrongly, though I do not speak english well, but there is difference bettween to be under pressure and to be depressed. But to be under pressure and to be affraid of something may cause the depression if the person does not get enough positiv affects.
