Thermostat wars

At my house it is cold enough to freeze my fingers and nose. Sometimes I try to sneak the heat up and my husband will turn it back down. This is a fun winter activity for us. I insist on being able to feel my fingers and toes. He insists that sweating in winter is unnatural!
Anyone else fighting over the furnace?

When my oldest daughter still lived at home we fought over it all the time. She is the type that gets warm easliy. I think her inner thermostat is set about 10 degress higher than mine. She always complained about being hot even when the weather outside was below zero. So she would be the one to sneak it down. But I always won the war. And it was nice and toasty in the house.

I handle downright hot weather better than cold. I'll have to sneak the heat up again soon! :)

The situation is reversed at my house, I am usually the one turning down the heat because I am concerned about the cost. My parents always kept the thermostat rather low in winter and just told me to put on two pairs of socks. We've gotten to a truce now, he will put on a sweater first before resorting to turning up the heat, and I keep my mouth closed (he actually pays the heating bill, so I can't really complain, it is just the "saver" in me).

I'm all for saving money but when things start going numb I'm ready to pull out the wallet. LOL.
