Do you use butter or margarine? The reason I ask is I am adamant about using butter and not margarine...because, well, margarine is not "real" food to me and is high in trans fats. Well, my guy thinks I overreact in general about food choices and thinks I should always get margarine just because it's cheaper. I'm also a big believer in that food is not something you should skimp on because your health depends on it. Plus in my opinion butter tastes better.
Do you use butter or margarine and why?

As courtlynne77 has said that butter is better for you because your body does not know what to do with margarine. To make Butter go further and more spreadable and more economical I mix !/2 cup olive oil with 2 sticks of butter. Olive oil is better for you and extends the butter also. This is good for spreading on any thing that yoy like butteron. I havent tried to bake with it but I bet it will work just as good as margarine.

I use butter. I use to use margarine because it was easier to spread, but then I saw on Oprah that it is really bad for your body because you body does not recognize it as a "natural" food. So even though butter is not good for you, it is better for you than margarine.
