well yeah..it has to do with the accumulation of dust and carbon dioxide that modern technology pours into atmosphere in great quantities, the dust tends to reduce the amount of incoming solar radiation, thereby cooling the earth. the carbon dioxide tends tot rap heat that would ordinarily escape to outer space, thereby warming the earth, if it is large enough the earth's temp . will change a degree or 2 with catastrophic results...(science in everyday living by william vergara)

yes, humans have the power to change the climate.after the industrial revolution carbon di oxide in the earth's atmosphere has increased dramatically and this is keeping up pace. due to this now we are heading for global warming, increasing the earth's temperature and melting of the polar ice caps.
