Have you been hanged-up in a situation?

I met this guy online wayback 5 years ago. We got very much closed then. He calls me up, leaves me offline messages as well as email. Somehow, we got this certain connection with each other 'though our situation is just online. When I realized that I'm falling in love with him as well as him to me, I decided to stop the situation. I sent him a goodbye email. The reason is that I'm engaged to somebody already before we met. From that goodbye email, we never communicated for almost 2 years until this one time chance came. All of sudden, last November 2006 we started chatting again via online. For one straight month, we got to talk everyday and every single minute. Including emails, phone calls, text messages. Again, our closeness went up to the next level. He proposed his real feelings to me. He told me that he was so sad with the goodbye email I sent him. He admitted that he had fallen in love with me wayback and the chance that we communicated again makes him fall in love with me again. The situation was so complicated since I'm already engaged to somebody already. I let the feeling flow since I'm happy being with him and he makes me happy. We went out on a date. We act as lovers. That togetherness and closeness we had, just came to an end. All of sudden, the communication stopped. He stopped all the usual things he does. Until this time, I still haven't received a single message from him. It hurts a lot because I feel that I was really hanged up and left without any single word. I tried sending messages to him but no response at all. What will I do??? I guess he went mad with the last date we had. He's insisting with our situation. He wants us to be together but I really can't because I'm engaged to someone already. Besides, I'm still not sure with my feelings for him. Right now, I want us to be friends somehow. I don't want all those happy moments and laughter we shared be put to waste. I need some advises here on what's the best thing to do:(
