How can i preserve rose petals for use at a wedding for a flower girl throwe?

these roses were from funeral today and someone would like to preserve the petals for use in about a month for their flower girl to throw

i've seenthem put into a cardboard box w/ aluminum foil over it and then put into the fridge. like an hour before a weding. dont know how long they will hold if longer tho.
