is it true that noodles give long life?? i heard it from my grandmother.. well here in the Philippines it is called "pancit" and they said that it really gives us long life because of its long strands.. is it true?? just wondering...^^

I've heard that same quote from my grandma and I think they use it as a figure of speech a metaphor.
I'm not so sure if it is a chineese belief that it stands for longer life because of the long strand and if you do have it on your natal day you will have long time.
