Games on myLot- good idea?

It can be made an added attraction if a mastermind works behind it. You see, designing some great minds that are not too tough so that anyone can participate, without worrying about losing the money, with time. Of course, there must be prizes and more money as reward, for those who win. :)

I was thinking plain 'ol online games, like you see at www.collegehumor.com, something fun and simple, and probably topical. On this site, I think you'd get some informed comment, too. You could have something as simple as online chess, no money involved, and get a lot of good posts out of it.
Prizes would work if within a set budget. "No outlay" would be the guiding rule. There's a licensing issue, too, so would have to be a worthwhile proposition for myLot.

I think that would be alot of fun but it might affect the server i think to male everything slow. Its good but i think the only way something like that should happen is if it would increase our ratings etc. If it doesn't i dont see the sense in it as it would not gain alot of person.

I would say it would be an added attartion for some of us, and some of us would be annoyed that it would detract from the site.. Of course that would be those particular indivduals that are more interested in writing responding. and probably might even complain if dan put games here .. Then again if there was some way to generate donuts ( Money ) from playing the games that always changes a person's general perspective. So toss it out there and see what happens..

Yeah, the way I see it variety is going to have a market share impact on all these forums. Add this to trying to get away from text boxes for a while after a few hours, and chill a bit.

I think this is a cool idea. I like it. And for me it will be an added value here at mylot and one more reason I will visit mylot maybe even more often than now. And online gaming is a big industry so I think mylot could attract lots of people here that like to play online games.

I'm all for proscrasintation! That's why I'm online and here! I'd play! For those who come here just to participate and chat with friends it wouldn't be a problem. Although i'm sure those who are just here to make a quick buck will find it unnecessary and complain bitterly about it.
