I dont agree with this at all.. Not ALL pit bulls are dangerous and I can think of a million other breeds that are extremely dangerous that should be put down if they are really considering doing this.. they cant do it, its not fair on responsible pit bull owners who make sure their dogs are well trained and kept in good yards with the appropriate fences etc.. I have seen some absolutely wonderful pit bulls and a few very scary ones over the years and have learnt that its not the dog its the owner who is responsible for how the dog behaves.. the breed can not be blamed, only dog owners them self can be blamed if the dog turns aggressive... I get very offend when they show on the news another " Pit bull Attack " and the bloody dog isn't even a Pitty!!! Pit bulls can be very very dangerous I'm not denying that, but so can a lot of other breeds if brought up the wrong way. I think all the laws they have now to own a Pitty are good enough to stop the show offs from buying a Pit bull and no further action should be taken. Pit bulls are wicked dogs and are one of the most loyal breeds Ive ever come across so to hear this just makes me sick.. I hope this doesn't happen...:( .. have a great day ...

Your puppy is very cute. As a Pit owner myself I agreed. The dog is just a dog. The owner is the true danger. I am a loving happy person and my dog is a big suck. Just as a stick is a stick, the person holding it determines its use. Could be to help walking, or a game for your pooch or just as easily a weapon. Again all about the owner!

No I do not agree with a law that would enforce putting all pit bulls down. As another poster said, it is the owner who is the true danger! Too often you hear of people who fight their dogs and this is just sad! Here is a picture of my pitbull/lab mix-Ike.

No, I disagree. My aunt has a pit and he is the most gentle creature. He couldn't hurt a flea. I strongly feel that it is inhumane to put down these and other animals.

I agree with you. I think it is heartless to want to distroy a dog just because they are pitbulls. If they took their fear and threw it to the wind they would see pitbulls have been given a bum rap. Yeah they have attacked people but those are the dogs that have bad backgrounds or have been treated badly by the present master. Also pitbulls have not been the only dogs that are known to attack.

no.. i dont agree with that.. the dog isnt responsible but its owner.. with proper training and care.. pitbulls are harmless.. its just those cruel owners who turn their pits into berserking animals..

I think that is a tad narrow minded. A dog acts the way he is treated. If he is treated with love and kindness and affection than you are going to have a well behaved dog. If he is treated badly than of course you have a dog that is going to be mean. If you think about it not only pitbulls can be mean but any breed of dog giving being treated by a master that mistreats them. Come on, give the pitbulls a break. No, I don't own one folks. But I have been around them and I am not afraid of them.

I live in a city where these dogs have been banned. So because I've had my dog longer than the bylaw I get to keep him...but... I now have to muzzle him. Now my dog is the biggest suck around (all about the love!) and has never been forced to wear one. I think this is totally unfair. He doesn't bite and why would I punish him for something he's never done. As for putting them down. NO WAY! The dog only responds to how the owner raises them, the owner should be the one responsible for the dogs actions. I can say this as I happily take responsiblity for how my dog behaves.

I 100% do not agree. I think that is a stupid law and if they pass it I'm going to go to California and smuggle all the pitbulls out! My gosh, what is the world coming too.
"Bully Breeds" are just a stupid theory. Dogs aggression and personality is not based on their breed. I have worked directly with pit bulls, rottweilers, doberman, boxers, etc...and everyone I worked with was the SWEETEST dog! I even taught one of the Dobermans a trick in like 2 seconds!
They better not pass that stupid law! STOP THE MADNESS ARNOLD! lol.

No I think that's stupid! It's not the breed that's bad, it's the way they train and treat the dog. If they treat him bad and train them to attack then obviously they're gonna be dangerous. I have a pitbull and he is the SWEETEST thing, he's really friendly and not dangerous.

no i dont think so, just becuase irresponsible pet owners happen to give them a bad name, doesnt mean that everyone who owns these dogs, are gonna have a mean one. I know that my pit, is nothing more then a big baby, why hurt innocent animals, Its all in the way they are raised, just like any dog. They were breed to please thier owners, no matter what they have to do. They dont know wrong from right, no dog does, if what they are taught is the only thing they know. I love my pit, and he is the most gentle loving dog, and very affectionate.
