It is ok for a mom to work outside the home even though she has an infant. Especially if the second income is necessary to provide the basic needs of her children. Given a choice, I would love to be a stay at home mom.

Being a home mom indeed has alot of benefits. Im always the first one to see the new antics my little girl discovers by herself. Congratulations to us moms! :)

As long as the infant's father is at home, and this infant isn't any longer dependent on its mother for milk etc.
I do believe that children need one parent with them all the time. but i don't think it really matters whether it's the father or mother.
women should feel free to be the bread winner of the house while dad stays at home.
times have changed and traditional gender roles have changed too.

I agree with you.
However, my husband is a bit traditional. I guess for new mothers, just make sure that you really can handle being a mom coz it entails sacrifices. Rest assured, everything will pay off once you're assured that your little angel is doing great!

Many woman haven't choose. If you must work because you need money there is nothing else you can do.I'm working mother too. When my son was infant i was lucky because i had him at my work with me.Don't believe was easy but better than i let him with babysitter or put him at kinder garden. The best of all is a mother can sit her child at home unfortunately little women can do.

Thank you so much for the insight. Im a new mom and my dilemma is how soon can i start working again after resting for a year since it was a risky pregnancy. My hubby suggests that I start a business or work from home if possible coz there aren't much jobs here in the Philippines where I can have my baby with me while working.

For me, if the situation calls for it that i need to earn for the family then i will work but i have to see to it that my child will be left for somebody who i can depend to. Maybe a relative of somebody who knows of an infant care. On the other hand if your husband can provide well for the family then i highly suggest that mothers should take care of their youngs. It will be a great job taking care of your baby. And its very rewarding if you can tell the whole world that you see your child growing coz you are always around.

It was important for us to have one parent home to raise our daughter. She was making more money and advancing quicker. So it became possible for me to stay home full time. Plus I really looked forward to raising her, and I think it was important to her to continue working.

I guess this is totally depend on the situation and the suroundings of the mother and the infant....
Personly i feel that If Mother and father are financially doing well then Mother should look after the Infant by sitting at home.
But in this case one has to think Very practically...
