This is another one of my poems!! I hope you all enjoy it and if anyone would also like to share any short poems with us that you have wrote feel free!!!
We sit and stare into one anothers eyes, lost in a loving gaze.
The room is lit with a dim glow light , from the candles ablaze.
Our dinner sits getting cold, but even this can not stop our stare.
No words spoken, yet the intensity burns with the passion that is in the air.
He takes my hand, reassuring me with that lustful loving glare.
I gesture to him lovingly, totally unaware.
He shows me the ring , while asking me can i always be there.
Through thick and thin, pain and sorrow and all else that we may share.
To love , to laugh, to cry together each and every day.
I want to be the man for you , you complete me in everyway.
Will you darling grant me this day of joyous , happy bliss.
Marry me, man and wife is what we shall remain.
I love you darling and yes i will is what i said to him.
He slipped the ring upon my finger as he said these words.
I will cherish and love you every waking day, May this ring bind our hearts, in blissful happiness .
I thank the lord above for you and sealed it with a kiss!

Beautiful for an old romantic like me. Thanks.
THE HEALING
No one loves me: no one cares,
My heart was crying out.
The pain and ache I felt within
I could not share about.
So I buried deep inside my heart
The rejection, pain and fears,
And vowed I wouldn't tell a soul
The memories of the years.
A wall I built around myself
So no one could get in;
And yet my heart did yearn
For love and understanding.
I just wanted to be accepted
As an ordinary being,
And wasn't really stony
As I often was appearing.
I cried out loud unto the Lord
To help me cope with fears,
Then, broken, wounded, and in tears
I shared with HIM the years.
The Lord, He heard my crying:
He saw my shattered heart,
And He gently healed each year
Of the memories long gone past.
He touched my heart
And healed the wounds,
And replaced the pain with peace.
His presence so engulfed me
And His love flooded my soul.
I always will remember
The morn my Saviour called
And brought to my remembrance
The memories of old.
They can no longer hurt me:
The healing is complete.
To trust completely in the Lord
Is healing that is sweet.
When I had locked inside me
The anguish of the years,
I somehow had forgotten
That Jesus is the key.

i like it ...
it's simple, and i like how you put words to tell about that proposal event.
that's romantic ^__^ ...
so sweet ...
but ... i don't see any answer from that proposed woman ... o_O? ...
i hope she accept it ... or maybe put one more line that express that she accept that proposal, so it would be a happy ending =)

oh, pardon me, i didn't catch that fourth line from the bottom.
It's perfect then, knowing that she's accepting that romantic proposal =)

Another great poem Ronita. You have inspired me....I don't think I have written a poem since school. I came up with this one tonight,
I sit alone just thinking
of days that have gone past
I sit alone just thinking
of what has brought me here
I sit alone just thinking
of what might have been
I sit alone just thinking.....

Romance is nothing,
a wave of heartbeat and tension
When it start, we die and
When it end then we cry

That was really wonderful. I liked it alot. Ok, but this is my first time seeing one of your poems. I will have to look out for you next time to read what else you have written. I love poetry - all kinds.
Are you going to work on publishing your poems? You should especially if they are all as good as this one.
Best of luck!
