I think it's probably the colour that initially attracts children to M&M's, children love anything that's brightly coloured and it immediately catches their eye. They are also kind of like play food, because there are so many M&M's in a packet and they are so brightly coloured, children can play/count with them, throw them etc. They might also be fascinated by the fact that they're chocolate even though they don't look like chocolate.

I also forgot to mention that when I was little I used to pretend M&M's were the magic beans from the Jack and the Beastalk tale - told you kids liked to play with them - lol.

I think every kid just love candy at no specific reason.M & M attract kids the most due to its candy of many colors, the mascot and the dispenser of many types. My nephew and nieces just love this M & M . For me, M & M not just attracts kids but adults too cant resist this colorful candy as well and I am one of them :-)

I think kids like them because they taste very good and love chocolate. Plus they are bite size pieces which they can eat easily. My dog even loves M&M's and he isn't supposed to have chocolate LOL.
