tomato belongs to vegetable or friut

i'd like to eat raw tamatos,i have always been thinking it is a kind of fruit,but the scientists sort it into vegetable.it is said this is the result of the tariff. what do you prefer it to be

i think that tomato belongs to the vegetables. i don't think that tarrifs are going to have any effect on the classification. its price is rising up and banana is more cheaper than it. but it is still considered as fruit. i think that it(tomato) can be cooked and it can eaten raw. whereas fruits are eaten in raw form and few can be cooked only. so this is major reason for the tomato being classified as vegetable. have a nice day.
