Do you feel Jade Goody helped Shilpa Shetty win the Big brother show?

I haven't watched any of the show (I really hate reality TV shows, they aren't real at all, just about as fake as it can be) ... but from all the newspaper reports and TV news I would say without a doubt Shilpa Shetty would not have won had it not been for the bullying ..
I would have thought one of the menfolk would have been more likely to win as it's mainly women who do all the voting .. so Shilpa really picked up on the 'sympathy' vote .. which I personally feel is condescending and patronising and is probably far more hurtful than bullying ...
And I doubt she would have won because Bollywood stars are not much known about in the UK and we are always hesistant about new things and people ..
I can only hope that now the programme is finished .. and hopefully for good (no more BB please) the furore that's been whipped up by the media will die down and everyones lives get back to normal .. and we can get some real TV programmes on ...

We have a few lessons here . The media is always on the look out for hot news. It is for the matured viewers to find out the truth and reality. The story goes on and the media will in search of another furore, for it is such bubbles that help them survive.

i think that it was not their policy .
shilpa was the best contestant and the controversey just helped her to gain an edge over others.
it helped her to gain sympathy and she was the most appropriate candidate for winning this show.

I do hope that all the furore will make Bollywood movies more widely known in Britain .. I do think they have a grace and style not seen in any other movie genre .. Shekhar Kapur is an excellent director .. I think the time is right to start making some English spoken movies so that the rest of us Britains can enjoy Bollywood too ...

Yes i agree with you, jade goody helped shilpa shetty to win the big brother show. she got lot of sympathy. now she is a big celebrity in india and around the world

Ya, it was cetainly a 'blessing in disguise for shipa'- it really helped increase her popularity as she became well known all through UK and many parts of the world. Surely ,Jade did have a hand in shilpa's win. I dont think it would have been possible for her to win over others like Jermaine Jackson and others who were the people's favourites.

What a nonsense you are talking about? shilpa my icon is the smart among that bullying lot. She deserved the win and she got it. never underestimate the hard fought win.
