In the Philippines, "ampalaya" or better known as bitter melon, has been a common folkloric cure used for generations to cure various ailments. A misture of FLAVALOIDS and ALKALOIDS are contained in ampalaya that can aid the pancreas to produce more insulin that can control the blood sugar of diabetics. The ampalaya is bitter in taste so if you eat it raw you're not going to like it. At home, we saute onions with ampalaya, add a little pork meat, then pour scrambled eggs and let it cook. It's a great dish to eat with rice and fried fish. The point is, since ampalaya is bitter in taste, I read that scientists have disocvered a way to solve that problem of its bitterness. They have come up with ampalaya capsules which can be taken 3 times a day as a supplement for diabetics. It has to be taken within 30 days, 3x a day, and the usual 5 small meals that a diabetic should follow. The result can be seen after 30 days. I have encouraged a friend of mine to take it and he was spending $100 a month for insulin shots. The bottle costs less than $10 alone and you need 3 of these $10 bottles in a month. You will be saving around $70 from all the insulin shots you're going to get by simply taking these supplements. Well, I hope this can help those people out there who spend a lot on insulin shots. I have 2 aunts who died of diabetes and it was a struggle. I missed both my aunts dearly. I hope people can learn more about alternative medicine. Here in the Philippines, I am a firm believer of herbal medicines.
