After making a careful observation of many "Expert" Match reviews since South Africa tour, I have come down to a dismal conclusion:
That these so called "Experts"/ "gurus", especially the ones who sit by the TV set and get down writing their articles after the match, have a general tendency to pick on a cricketing great like Sachin. Now I have tried a lot but failed to gather a single reason that some people based their verdict about axing Sachin from the Men in Blue.
I am an Indian too and I do kick and curse my TV/PC whenever we loose a match against an opponent for foolish reasons. But some sections of the "Junta" seems to like making Himalayan blunders which can never ever be repaired. How can you even think of dropping Sachin when he is still contributing to the team with the same will as he did in 89' when he took guards for the very first time at international level.
His tactics and approach has changed over the years and I hope everyone understands that change is the only constant! We cannot just expect him to go out there and be a Robin Uthappa when half of the middle order we have seen, falters more than often. I believe its high time we Indians understand the role Sachin plays in the team.
The aggressive bayonettes have to be rested on the likes of Robin and Gautam. (Sehwag's homecoming should certainly be welcome, based on performance though).
Sachin is a hope for the Men in Blue and I dont think its fair to him to be asked to prove his mettle time and again. Facts and figures: He is still topping the charts. So why raise unnecessary stir for the media to flare it up?
There is only one Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar that Indians can proudly boast. He is 33 now and making an honest analysis, I think he can easily fire for one more wrld cup ie. 2011 in Asia. What an honor will it be to bid Goodbye in such a legendary way!
So do not ever write him off the cards too soon, coz' any given day Sachin can single handedly re-write history! Its ur turn
