My opinion is whatever language you opt it not a big issue. But the thing is we need to know the basic principles of programming and depth knowledge about the basic concepts like storage and other things which is common for all the languages. Knowing these concepts enable us to learn any languages easily and we can excell in any programming environment.

I recomend vb as the best platform to begin programming. as very little programming can produce wonderfull results, with cool GUI. This can be very encouraging for newbies.

i think you should learn a basic language,if you don't use it every day,i suggest you learn vb,it 's easy to learn.if you wang to develop in internet,i suggest you to learn java .if you wang to develop sofware,i suggest you to learn vc or deliphy
