I like all kinds of tacos.
Did you know that in Mexico a "Taco" is basically a tortilla with something in it that you pick up and eat? It can be filled with anything and topped with anything and it's still a "taco".
I love potato tacos with mexican cheese, lettuce and some thin hot sauce.
I also love regular american style tacos with beef, cheese, lettuce & sour cream.
Or soft tacos with carne asada, cilantro, onions and salsa.
I make tacos all the time! They are my son's favorite food.

Yum! Black beans like in refried or whole? I love to cook with them.

I like yellow corn taco shells. They do for a chip without all the extra slt and fat rgular corn chips have. I just break them up and use as chips, with dips or whatever.

I know little about Tex-Mex, Southwest and Mexican cookin of which tacos are a part. Frankly, I don't like it very much. I realize this may be owing to only experiencing it in greasy spoon or fast food joints in my part of the US, but I tend to turn up my nose when I hear of such food. I think it all tastes and looks alike and is sloppy. However, if I ever visit Texas or Mexico, I'll keep an open mind, knowing that thigs may actually be quite good properly prepared in their native environment with fresh ingredients.
That said, I have an idea that tacos are sloppy junk involving ground beef (something else I don't like very much) in a greasy form along with greasy beans (how do they manage to make beans greasy??), tomatoes (which I do not eat owing to severe allergy), too much cheap-processed cheese and bad lettuce (that pale, watery iceerg dreck). Pretty unappetizing!!! Gack!
However, I bet the dish could be made edible with better-chosen ingredients. How about shredded stewed chuck in a pleasant sauce made with fresh tomatoes (so I still won't eat it, but at least it will look edible for people without allergies!) and nicely cooked beans--and lose the grease. A small amount of *natural* cheese shredded on top might be nice, and some decent *fresh* greenleaf lettuce shredded up.
Actually, the ubiquitous presence of tomatoes is another reason why I don't eat Mexica/Tex-Mex/Southwest stuff. Do you think they have any recipes that don't have them? And what kind of sauce do you use? Something good or just stuff out of a jar?

Well, lets see here, for breakfast I like hash browns, eggs, black olives, bacon and cheese topped with sour cream and salsa in a soft corn shell...
Any other time I like meat, beans, sour cream, tomato, lettuce, cheese, black olives, pico de gallo, guacamole, and hot sauce.
I also like thick chili with beans, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream
I like just about anything. Sometimes like today for lunch I had fried soft corn tortillas with cheese and jalepenos in it! It was great!

I always put out a variety of fixings nd let everyone pile on what they love. I put out shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced onions, black olives, sour cream, jalapenos, sour cream, shredded cheddar, avocado and salsa. After all that, my daughter makes hers with meat and cheese-- that's all!

My family loves tacos so we have them every friday night and I have to make them the same each time. I start with a flour tortilla, add my meat, then refried beans, cheddar cheese, lettuce, taco sauce and then I top it off with sour cream - a lot of sour cream. Yum Yum!
