What do you think about jobs being sent overseas to other countries?

I've noticed lately that I keep getting telemarketing calls from people in other countries. Mostly it seems like maybe India?
I'm just curious if other people have noticed this as well and how do you feel about these jobs being sent out to other countries?
When I call AOL for help on my computer, I know they are in another country because they tell me.
When I call Cingular for help with my cell phone, I know they are in another country because they also tell me.
With all people here, in the US, complaining about having a hard time finding work - why are these jobs being given to people in other countries?

Back in my country (Philippines), i know some people who are working in call centers catering services for their clients abroad. I guess the main reason why these companies do so is because of cost cutting hence outsourcing to countries with cheaper labor and materials which in turn increase their revenues. I think it does not only limit to call center services but most prevalent are production companies. It is sad to note that this company strategies deprive their own countrymen of job opportunities (although it benefit some of my fellows) but in my opinion they do have the discretion to do so since they also do it in a legal manner.

It happens here in Australia as well. It's all about the bottom line and presenting the shareholders with the biggest dividend. Seems a bit stupid to me. Pretty soon no-one will have a job. If no-one has a job they won't have any money to spend then where will these companies be?

I personally, feel for our country, it is taking away possible jobs for our people, however, because of the company, they know if they outsource it overseas, it's going to be way cheaper...
The downfall to that is most the time when you call these other countries, you can barely understand them (no offense)
The corporate world today is all about making money and being how technology has advanced, it's more money for the company, being they don't have to pay out as much for outsourcing the work versus paying here in the USA.
I work in the corporate world myself, you would be amazed at how many companies outsource work.
