Does your cat shed?

It seems my cat 'Buddy' sheds more than what I would consider usual. I have to comb him out everyday (at least once a day) and find hair all over the house. Does anyone else have this problem and if so is there anything I can do about it?

I DONT think you can do much about it but keep a lot of lint rollers on hand. I see them at Wal*Mart for a $1.00 or pay more for a larger one! Get lots! DONT wear things you think will attrack hair more (like black shirts for example or pants). I have cat hair on ALL things and ALL on me too. And dog but more cat. I dont think they shed as much during winter as they do in spring or summer. I know in spring and summer they are shedding their winter coats so they she'd more. Just some advice.

Yes, I do keep those on hand for my clothing and they work very well.

I have only had Jasper for a few months and he has not stopped shedding. It is cold now and I thought he would stop, even though he is a house cat. There does not seem to be an end in sight. I brush him everyday and also wipe him down with a wet paper towel a few times a day. I find it cuts down on the amount of hair and on his hairballs.

Yes, my cat is shedding a lot lately as well. I thought it would stop as winter approached but it has seemed to be getting worse!

my one cat sheds all the time. he's a long haired cat and it's all over my house. i try and vacuum but then it just gets all over the house after i vacuum. i comb my cat too and that helps a little bit but it doesnt take care of the job completely. i use a pet powder that i put on the carpet it's supposed to get the hair up that's imbedded in the carpet and it makes the house smell nice.

My cat sheds as well and no it has not stopped for the winter season. I brush him out and wash him every so often... other than that it is a lot of vacuuming.
