What is your all-time favourite science fiction television show? I'll include present-day shows with sci-fi/fantasy elements such as 'Heroes' or 'X-Files'.
Mine would be 'Babylon 5', with 'X-Files' a close second.

Mine would be 'Battlestar Gallactica', the old one, not the new one. I haven't seen the new one yet, but heard that Starbuck is a woman. I don't think I can handle that.

I haven't seen much of the new one either (just a couple season 1 episodes). It isn't as 'campy' as the original. Edward James Almos does a credible Adama. And Tricia Helfer is one hot cylon!

RED DWARF by far and away the best and funniest of the sci-fi series on tv. Close second to that would be Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy and in third place probably Deep Space Nine

Ha! Forgot about the British comedies! You're right, they were brilliant.
Thanks for mentioning them.
PS: Did you know that Lister is on Coronation Street now? I can't see him without thinking of curry vindaloo :D
