I feel the main purpose of religion is to create an order and to satisfy man's curiosity of the unknown. But the whole concept of religion is lost in the wars due to it like the crusades and the present wars between the west and islam. Who do you think is in the wrong side.Is it america representing the west or is it the islam?I think it is the fault of both.Religion can be interpreted in different ways. The is no rule.We feel what religion is to our liking. But in islam, like in many other religions, the clergy men have made islam into a violent religion and with the wars and suicide bombers all around, the world is falling for it!

Unfortunately, no religion in it's true essence and teaching is advocating killings and wars. It is only those who are fanatics with misguided zeal and don't really know the teachings of their religion who are at fault. They have misunderstood and misinterpreted the true nature and purpose of their respective religions. If the followers will only apply the doctrines and tenets in their lives, there will be no religious wars.
