Best Answer - Chosen by Asker I personally believe in the power of prayer. No one can come to the father lest he be drawn by God, so you can pray for a person all you want, there will come a time when that person has to realize their wrong. That's the purpose of feeling Godly sorrow for the sins that you have committed. Those that don't except prayer, well pray for them still, by doing this you have planted a seed in his/her heart. You planted, someone will water, and God will give the increase. If someone doesn't want you to pray for them than publically you don't have to. How do they know if you are praying for them or not? But the devil in them does not want to come out, so he will convince them that you are hurting them or that you are causing them pain, when it is really that spirit in them. Majority of the people that are scared of prayer are reprobates and are bound. Some people wont believe in prayer because they have had things to happen in their life where they are scared and they have been emotional burnt. But you can't let the foolish and vain sayings of people get you down. Why do people who don't want prayer get mad because you pray for them? As I said, they are spiritually constipated, they need to be delivered and as long as that spirit is in them telling them that they are alright and the christians are the ones that are crazy, they will continue to be sick, and continue to be bound. Sad to say some people were made to be damned. they were made to go to Hell. How many people you think are actually going to be going to heaven when God arrives? There were only 8 souls saved in Noahs time, how many you think go be saved this time? So don't be weary in well doing? Everyone has the right to their own opinions and everyone has the right to receive or to decline. We all have free choice and because we do there is nothing wrong with them not wanting prayer. That is there choice. But we are christians should never compromise with the world or try to do what makes them happy. Cause in the end they will never be happy you can pray all you want for them. It has to be their decision to be healed and to be whole. That's why Jesus always said Your faith has made you whole. or he asked them Do you believe? The people that don't want prayer more than likely find it hard to believe in the power of prayer. You continue praying and uplifting others, God will bless you but don't look at who wants you to pray for them or not. Cause if you do you will get your mind off of Christ and start focusing on what this world wants and what they want don't even matter. Remember no compromise.

I think God answers our prayers in the best for us. I want to share a simple quote I came across with a couple of years ago. God on prayer: My child when I answer them it is because I am increasing your faith If I delay them it is because I am increasing your patience If I don't answer them, wait I have soemthing better for you. author anoymous

Yes I very much believe in the power of prayer. It is an awesome priviledge to be able to talk with God and for Him to hear us and answer our prayers. Sometimes He doesn't answer them the way we want, but He always knows what is best for us. Sometimes we think we know what we need, but God always knows and only wants the best for His children.

As I answered allready on a lot of other posts : I think 99,999999999 % of all prayers rest ungranted! It depends on what you pray for... Personally, I just prayed for the sun to rise again tomorrow, and I am pretty sure that I will be amongst the lucky 0,0000000001 % :-)

Prayer - But there isn't just one right way to pray - what works well for one person may not for another.
Only sometimes, I know he doesnt always grant mine. My favorite prayer is, Count Your Blessings Count your blessings instead of your crosses; Count your gains instead of your losses. Count your joys instead of your woes; Count your friends instead of your foes. Count your smiles instead of your tears; Count your courage instead of your fears. Count your full years instead of your lean; Count your kind deeds instead of your mean. Count your health instead of your wealth; Love your neighbor as much as yourself. Author unknown
