Scripture of the day

Every morning, when I wake up, before I even get out of bed, I like to take some time and delve into the Word of God. I find it helps to focus my day. This morning, the idea came: why not share? So, to that end, I'm starting something new. Every morning (M-F -- I may not have time on the weekends to type it all out) I'm planning to post a scripture of the day. It will be just a verse or two, and my thoughts on it. I expect some people will attempt to turn these discussions into arguments. That is not what they are for. If you want to debate philosophy, I would be happy to do so, but not here. To that end, for these daily posts, I will not be answering any comments that are of an argumentative nature. So, without further ado:
Today's verse is Psalm 46:10 -- "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (ASV)
We live in a world of multi-tasking, endless to do lists, and the business of busyness. It's easy to get caught up in life and forget to live. Most of our lives are a constant rush of deadlines and appointments. Getting the kids off to school, getting to work on time, finishing the project or checking off the list become our goals. This is not what God wants for us.
The Bible is peppered with verses that talk about being still, waiting on the Lord, and resting in Him. It is in the still, quiet places that we can best hear His voice. The command in Psalm 46:10 is not to DO but to BE. Sometimes in the rush of everyday it's easy to forget God. Easy to forget His sovereignty. Easy to think WE are in charge.
When is the last time you took the time to really seek God? To ask for His direction in your life? To just dwell in the knowledge that He alone is God?

Yes, we have to ponder who God is and seek his face the first thing in the morning he should be given the first preference in our lives more than anything, then our day also will go on well as he is the author and finisher of our lives, yes posting bible verses we get a very few responses but anyway no problem we should not always post to get money specially God's word, as if we post such topics, many will b encourages some will be saved and that is better than money, the reward weget from God is more than money. God bless you.

That is one of my favorite scriptures. My life scripture is the one which says...My grace is sufficient for you, for it is in your weakness that I am strong.....and because of that statement from God, Paul knew...When I am weak, then I am strong.

Very good idea - posting one or few Bible verses every day. This serves as reminders to many and we definitely learn from these because they are the words of God. When we ponder on the Word of God, many lessons come to our minds and we learn and by that we do also give importance to the Word of God and that is worship.

wow! wow! wow! you're great. with this kind of website, it's hard to find such a topic as yours. thanks for you're courage and faith. God bless you. how i wish a lot of people if not all, would really start the day with the Word of God. one of this day i will start a discussion of the same purpose or let's say same target of "market". His Words will penetrate any media to reach people's hearts.
