A new cage for my cockatiels

My cockatiels always hang out on top of their cage. They always have their bums hanging off the side and end up pooping around the cage. Are those higher priced cages with the little wings coming out worth the extra price? How many of you use them?

i have two of those cages, and i ended up taking the little wing things off, cause i kept bumping into them and they'd make a loud clattering noise on the floor, plus they were a major pain in the neck to clean. You can get that clear plastic material that desk chairs sometimes sit on, and put that under your cage...the larger the better. If you spray the poop with a vinager/water solution, let it sit, then spray again, and wipe, the poop should come off nicely. Much easier than trying to get off carpet, or scrub off a hard wood floor.

that clear plastic stuff works great! thats what we have. it makes cleaning poop and messy fruits much much easier to do.
