How do you gain rep points from each of the 4 groups in Sims Urbz

I read on a forum that you're supposed to talk to the head of the rep group but I have been doing that and it says that I gained a rep point but when I go check my stats my rep bar for that group didn't go up. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

Sims Urbz is a video game that is on the Nintendo DS. If you have ever played a the SIMS before it's similar to that with a different story line.

I like this game. I only play on the PS2. I just keep talking to people and my rep goes up. So maybe you should try that.
