older babe,younger dude: what are your views about this kind of relationship?

"age does not matter."if you love someone, you have to love him because of what he or she is. you have to respect him or her. there are no pros and cons (well, it depends..) to this kind of relationship. its your relationship and you have to be the one to make the most out of it.

So we dated once. Beautiful words were said during our time like "it doesn't matter if am 48, if i have 3 sons, if i have scratches in my body" in short he likes me. But, when he change his mind the nerve even dogs can not eat his words. You know there is no permanent in this world. Don't get too involve with someone specially almost half your age younger or older. You will only get hurt. smile, cornchips

i don't think age should matter at all, emily. i, myself am older than my fiance by 2 years, my mom was older than my dad by 4 years, yet the age difference never became a problem in our relationship.

Well my boyfriend is 10 years younger than me and it makes no difference at all -and why should it? What is important is -are you on the same wavelengh? Do you get on well and want the same things in life? Age shouldn't matter at all if you love and respect each other.

Well, my wife and i are about the same age. I've got about six months on her, but that's not a big deal. i think as long as you're both over the age of twenty, who cares who's older? now if it's like a 40 year old guy and a 18 year old girl, that's kinda gross, or vice versa. Otherwise, as long as you're being treated the way you want to be treated....it shouldn't matter. But i understand what you mean, there is a stigma on an older woman and younger man.

I would imagine if she is too much older he'll probably have second thoughts when she gets to 60 and he'll be 45. Traditionally a man at 45 would have a partner about ten year younger so that would make 35 and I guess women at 35 are more attractive than women at 60. People talk about love but I found that love always fades away, couples never seem to stay together for long nowadays, I never had a relationship that lasted for more than ten years. it's always women that end up sleeping with other men then they want back and I don't want back. It's like they need to experiment all the time, I never understood that.

in my case it won't work but doesn't mean it won't work with others. the way i see it, it's their lives, who cares how they live it, as long as they don't interfere with mine or somehow affecting it

I'm not into that kind of situation. My guy is a year older than me. But I'm not against older women-younger men kind of relationship. Actually, it is not on the age. It is on how mature you are to handle the relationship. Maybe the reason why some kind of those set up dont work is that they lack the understanding of the commitment they have in having their relationship. It is not who's older or who's younger but who's sensible and who has given value to relationship. Maybe they misconcept that younger guys mostly do play in a relationship. But that's unfair to think. Don't judge any person on his ablity to handle things, even relationship, just because he's young. Youl'll never know, maybe he has better brain than you when it comes to that matter.

My husband is 10 years older than me. The thing I observed about him is that he is already matured and wise in ways of living. Men tends to develop slower when it comes to maturity. In the case of older women and younger men, some men are attracted to older women because they feel that they have this emotional security. Maybe they are looking for a motherly affection and most older women gave them a more permanent relationship rather than the younger one.

i think it is a bit awkward for other people, but for me i think it is acceptable if you relly love each other,
