Who cooks better?

I think that is a very hard question, and impossible to generalise. As far as I can tell, men are great at "fancy" cooking, in big restaurants, or on special occasions at home, but they can't be bothered with the everyday stuff catering for a family. When a guy cooks, (or at least the ones I know anyway), - they seem to use every pan in the house, and make a dreadful mess in the kitchen (which doesn't matter when you're a chef of course, because there are kitchen staff to clear it up). They are probably more creative, and adventurous, but not as economical or practical, as a woman cooking for her family every day.

I would agree that men cooks better because on iron chef and all those other food channels has men cooking in them. Well...not all of them. But, I would prefer women cooking though. I think they do cook better than men some of the time. I don't really know, this is a good question that got me thinking...

based from what i know and what i read its always men who do the cooking for big restaurants and hotel But that doesn't mean the women can cook less savory or tasty... women should be given a fair judgment in cooking. But i never heard that there's some competition. And im sure women can compete too. yeah, nobody can generalize who's the best..... i think its only the one who are giving the service of this cooking can give remarks.... good day!!!

both are good in cooking. its just that ladies are more into it. but when guys started to like cooking, they sometimes cook better than the females :)

I don't think either is better than the other but I will say that the best meal I ever had in a restaurant was prepared by a woman.

As per my observations and experiences I still believe women can cook better than men. Most restaurants hire men but at home women are the queen of the kitchen. Wives knows better than husbands. At home I cooked better than my wife but our children says their mom's cooking tastes better. It's phychological sometimes. Probably, mothers cook food for her family with tender love, so I conclude that's the secret why women cook better than men.

i think man cooks better.

i dont think its a gender based question but then too it is somewhat linked to it. before it was only females who were into the field of it but now men are also very much intrerested into it. After the opening of Hotel Managemant Courses, more and more men are also into cooking field. so what i can say is that both are good cooks.

I think women still cooks best. There's something in a woman's hands, perhaps the gentleness and the warmth that adds up to the savour and taste of the food.
