Have You Ever Met with a Psychic?

A Coupld of years ago I sat down with a past life therapist and learned a few interesting things about myself and my future. I've always wanted to go to a psychic and sit down for an hour or so just to see what they have to say. Have you ever done this? What was it like? Was it a positive or negative experience? Would you do it again?

i have not met with a Psychic. so i have no experience about this .

Yes, I found it a really positive experience and I did actually go again, but then I got confused, because I ended up going to 3 or 4 and they all told me different things. Sometimes I think you can feel good after going to one, but if you keep going to too many you over do it.

I agree with you, Maeica, about the thrill of the experience making you want more. It can really damage you to keep going back because eventually you realize you're either being fed fraudulant material, or you're just hearing the same thing over and over and it's not what you want to hear.

Just curious. What happened after your visit with the psychic? You said you learned about yourself and the future. Did he/she really tell you what lies ahead and did they come true?
I have never been to such and no plan in the future. I have some friends who went and see psyshics but I don't see any of their predictions coming true.

Hi Jemina. The psychic told me a lot about past life experiences that made me into the person I am today. It was interesting because he knew nothing about who I am today. I was very tight lipped with him about my practices, my profession and my goals, and he told me what he saw in my future. Some of it has come true, but it was a longterm prediction, something that would unravel piece by piece. So far, bits of it have unraveled, but nothing significant enough to say he predicted my future for me. A lot of the stuff he told me about past lives I had experienced made a lot of sense because with each past life came a character trait in my current life. He explained to me why I was into a lot of the things I was into, why I had spent so much time researching and trying to understand certain religions, why they appealed to me. It was a neat experience, and now that it's been a couple of years, I'd love to do it again to see how the experience measures up.

I did one time about 15 years ago. She told me that I was going to receive a letter and due to that letter, I would be taking a trip. I have never got the letter. I would not go to one now because it is now against my religion.

ya i have and it was the funniest thing tht i've ever done, but at th same time point less. well went to see one and when she tried to tell me some about my future she had a hard time telling me anything other the tht my future is clouded and tht she couldnt see anything. i told her tht i wasnt shocked. i told her tht i make my own future and it wasnt anything tht she could tell me cuz i have control of my life and anything tht she tells me i could change it, making it a lie. but theres one person tht i know whos a psychic tht i trusted and tht was my best friends mom, she didnt try to tell me the future she just told me about myself, she knew things i didnt know and would realize until later in my life.

Psychics do what you call cold reading, in which they manage to get a few details about you. They might say something like, "The greatest gift on earth is children", so when a childless couple goes to him he thinks it is about their not having children, if a couple with too many children go to him still this statement is true. If your child is abroad, still you think it refers to his absence.
Life is full of common incidents, when heard through a psychic we apply what he told to any incident that takes place.
If you know a good psychic, just ask whether the share prices will be down or up tomorrow and if it is up immediately go and invest some money in shares. Or you can do it in for-ex, you will become a billionaire in no time.

i have never done this. Im scared to know my future whether its positive or negative. I dont want to know whats going to happen the next few days or months and years through a psychic. I rather find it out myself or make it myself. I know its all based on how you handle things. I just cant make myself go have my palm read or something. i guess for me, the mystery makes life more enjoyable.:)

The last time I went to a psychic was 12 years ago. I went to 4 different psychics in the hope of easing my troubled mind.
At the time, I left an abusive relationship but I was unsure if I can move on because I loved that person very much. One psychic told me that I deserved someone better and he foresees that I would meet that person at the age of 32 (I was 25 at the time). I was so depressed then and I felt that 7 years is a long time to await.
This materialized in 2003, when I married my husband. I now have a daughter of my own and she makes me happy.

I visited a spiritual therapist that did do past life therapy, but at the time it was not something I was interested in. I'm also a bit of a cynic, I did need some guidance.
She has an amazing presence about her though. She never called herself a psychic or brought attention to it, but I found her amazingly intuitive.

Yes I have twice. The most recent one told me some pretty interesting stuff about not being human before. She told me I was an earth-diva and that I watched over a part of the earth that no longer exsisted or a species that went extinct. I thought I was going to hear the usual stuff about marriage and kids. I did not expect to here that this was my first time as a human. It explains alot though, because I sure do make some monumental mistakes. But at least I'm a quick enough study not to make the same one twice.
The second psychic I went to many years ago told me I would inheret wealth but not of the monetary kind. I am still waiting for that. I think she was right though in telling me it would not be monetarily because I have never had good fortune with money. For instance, I had an increase here on mylot of 1 cent since yesterday.
And in answer to the other questions, I think both times were positive experiences and I would definitely do it again.
